Basic Intro to the art of Encaustic
As beginner, you will learn the basic techniques of Encaustic painting. I will walk you throughout the exciting process of creating you’re very first encaustic. Watching the wax take on a life of it’s own is very awe-inspiring. We will work with Mono Printing as well as Direct Wax Painting. ( Art background is not required )

Intermediate instruction on the art of Encaustic
This Lesson is for artists who have either completed the intro class or who already have a basic knowledge of encaustics painting. In this lesson we will explore exciting techniques such as collage, shellac burn, scribing, image transfers and more.

Advanced
Once you’re creating Encaustics on your own, you can come in and use my work space and material for $50 per hour. Bring a friend and stay a while.

3D Encaustic:
This Lesson is for artists who have completed the intro and intermediate classes. This takes Encaustic off the 2D board and into the world of 3D sculpture. On the first day, We will use wire mesh to construct the basic structure. It will then be layered with what will eventually dry into a hard surface. After two days of drying time, you will return and begin applying encaustic wax to your hardened sculpture.
